ASHER: Not Your Ordinary Speaker
These speakers sing, they roar, and they rumble. They can do all three at the same time. In fact, any audio that you put into ASHER speakers will come out sounding like the original. Some people even say it's better than the original. The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra that we build into every ASHER speaker.
Not a Copycat
Many speakers on the market are variations on traditional designs. These speakers always have an inherent downfall. They're either inefficient, tinny, too warm, or too boomy. These downfalls are inherent to the less-expensive design and impossible to avoid.
Cabinet Construction
Constructed out of 3/4" MDF with real wood veneers, the quality of these cabinets is outstanding. Each cabinet has 3/4" side and back panels with a 3/4" MDF "shelf" brace running vertically up the sides and across the top and bottom. The baffle is 1" MDF with a black satin finish and rabbeted construction. The overall cabinet is extremely rigid and solid, with minimized panel resonance. In other words, solid as a rock.
The entire cabinet (17" x 10" x 12.5") is covered in premium veneers with a butter-smooth finish. The gloss black cabinets feature a piano quality finish that is extremely glossy and reflective. The Beech cabinets feature a very light-colored, tight-grained wood veneer with a semi-gloss finish, making them fit into any contemporary decor. The Cherry finish is very rich with a relatively strong, wide grain and a semi-gloss finish, making them very elegant. It is important to note that these cabinets use real wood veneers, so some variations in grain and color will naturally occur between cabinets in the Cherry and Beech finishes.
Standard Equipment: Awesome Crossovers
Crossovers are everything. A true audiophile will tell you that your stereo is as good as its weakest link. You don't want your crossovers to be the weakest link. These 3-way, 2nd order (12dB) crossovers were designed with a 3 octave spread between crossover points. Audiophile grade metallized polypropylene capacitors are used in critical midrange and tweeter signal paths. 18 gauge inductors are used to keep DC resistance to a minimum. All components are glued/fastened to eliminate buzzing and vibrations. The high quality PCB uses a back plate for added rigidity.
Standard Equipment: Powered Subwoofer
We call it a speaker system because it is complete. Either a 10" or 12" powered subwoofer are included. Size is chosen by our staff based upon your room and requirements. A matching amplifier will then be chosen, and installed into a custom-made subwoofer cabinet. This matte-black cabinet can be hidden anywhere in your listening room. Cabinet size depends on requirements.
